Because they grow in a dense mat, the Cheddar Pinks are frequently utilized as a groundcover. They bloom from May through June and work best in zones 4–8.

Furthermore, they are beautiful rose-pink tints and do not survive excessively in damp or cold soil. 

Since 1975, the Cheddar Pinks have become a protected species in the United Kingdom.

 

Maiden Pinks (Dianthus Deltoides).

The blossoms of the Maiden Pinks are loosely tufted, with slender, dark green leaves. They can grow upto a height of 2 feet and usually have five pink petals with fringed edges. From May to August, they bloom. 

They originated in Croatia, Slovenia, and Austria but are now widely distributed throughout the Midwest, South, and Northeast.

 

Armeria Dianthus

 

The Dianthus Armeria is a grassy-pink flower with five vivid red petals in tiny clusters at the top of the stems that is native to most of Europe. 

They bloom from early to late summer and can reach a height of 12 inches in the wild, though they can reach much higher heights when cared for properly.

Pavonius Dianthus
