CUET 2022: Notification & Exam Pattern
CUET 2022 or CUCET 2022 is the national level Common University Entrance Test. It is organized by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
- However, The exam was introduced with the aim that candidates can get admission to various UG programs in different universities through a common gateway.
- However, A total of 44 central universities and 36 other universities are accepting admission to undergraduate courses through CUET 2022.

- However, CUET 2022 forms can be accessed by candidates through the official site- cuet.smart.ac.in.
- Sample papers and mock tests for CUET 2022 are available on the NTA’s official website- nta.ac.in.
- The last date to register for CUET 2022 was May 22, 2022.
- However, NTA has opened the window for corrections in the forms. The ones who had filled and submitted their CUET registration form 2022, can make edits to their forms till May 31, 2022.
CUET 2022: Important Dates
The CUET 2022 registration process began in the month of April 2022.
The deadline to fill the forms was till May 22, 2022 (11:50 pm). However, the forms are available for the students through the correction window.

Once the correction window closes, the admit cards and the exam dates will be released.
However, Post the conduction of CUET 2022, first the answer key will be released and then the result will be declared.
However, These results will be used as a criterion for admission to the courses the candidate has selected while filling the CUET 2022 form.
CUET 2022: Syllabus
However, To ace any exam, the candidate must know the syllabus well. The candidate must be aware of each and every component of the syllabus.

Majorly, CUET 2022 will have three sections; Languages, Domain, and General Test.
Language Test:
- This section will have factual or narrative reading passages. In this section, candidates’ knowledge of the selected language will be assessed.
- However, The candidates are expected to choose any two languages ie. one from Section IA and the second from Section IB.
- Section IA and Section IB have 13 languages (English; Hindi; Telugu; Kannada; Malayalam; Tamil; Marathi; Urdu; Odiya; Assamese; Punjabi; Bengali; Gujarati.)
- 20 languages (Konkani; Bodo; Dogri; French; Nepali; Persian; Italian; Arabic; Sindhi; Spanish; German; Russian; Japanese; Chinese; Tibetan; Kashmiri; Maithili; Manipuri; Santhali; Sanskrit.).
Domain Test:
However, This section will comprise of questions related to the subjects candidates have opted for in their 12th grade.
The candidates are free to choose their subjects for the domain test, the only requirement is that the individual must have studied those subjects in his/her 12th grade.
However, The list includes 24 subjects in total; Accountancy/ Book-keeping; Biology/ Biological Studies/ Biotechnology/ Biochemistry; Business Studies; Chemistry; Computer Science/ Informatics Practices; Economics/ Business Economics; Engineering Graphics; Entrepreneurship; Geography/Geology; History; Home Science; However, Knowledge Tradition and Practices of India; Legal Studies; Environmental Science; Mathematics; Physical Education/ NCC /Yoga; Physics; Political Science; Psychology; However, Sociology; Teaching Aptitude; Agriculture; Mass Media/ Mass Communication; Anthropology; Fine Arts/Visual Arts (Sculpture/ Painting)/Commercial Arts; Performing Arts –
(i) Dance (Kathak/ Bharatnatyam/Odissi/Kathakali/Kuchipudi/ Manipuri (ii) Drama- Theatre (iii) Music General (Hindustani/ Carnatic/ RabindraSangeet/ Percussion/ Non-Percussion); Sanskrit.
However, The aspirants can opt for 6 subjects at the maximum.
General Test:
This section is meant to assess the candidates’ general awareness and aptitude.
Questions of this section will cover the following areas: General Knowledge; Current affairs; General Mental Ability; Numerical Abilities; Quantitative reasoning (Simple application of basic mathematical concepts arithmetic/algebra/geometry/mensuration/ statistics taught till 8th Grade); Logical and Analytical Reasoning.
CUET (CUCET) 2022: Exam Pattern
However, As mentioned in the syllabus, there will be three sections in the exam.
Each section will have a set number of questions. The candidates are not expected to attempt all of the questions.
However, The question will be MCQ type and the exam will be held in the Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode.

CUET 2022: Marking Scheme
- The candidates must be careful while choosing which question to attempt and which one to exempt as there is negative marking in the exam.
- However, there is a deduction of 1 mark for each incorrectly answered question.
- The correctly answered questions will be awarded 5 marks.
- The questions that have been answered and are still marked for reviewing will be considered attempted.
- But the ones only marked for review and no answer is selected, will not contribute to the final score.
