How to make paneer tikka?
Paneer tikka is a popular and tasty tandoori snack. It is a delicious vegetarian snack at any party. It is a delightful food for all vegetarians. Today I am going to share a homemade recipe of paneer tikka. It is also called tikka masala. You can make paneer tikka in an oven, but if you don’t have an oven you can make paneer tikka on a stove or tawa. You can use nonstick tawa, but if you don’t have nonstick tawa you can use normal tawa.
All the ingredients used in paneer tikka are easily available in your kitchen or nearby store. In tikka masala, use kashmiri red chili powder because it gives a nice red color to the food and also not so spicy. Do not bake paneer tikka for a long time because the paneer will become hard.
Time take:
Total baking time will be 15-20 minutes. For this recipe I use fresh curd, homemade curd for home made paneer tikka. If you use home made curd make sure the curd should be thick. Use fresh paneer for masala tikka, you can use homemade paneer. This method gives you a nice and crispy texture to tikka masala. This will take 4-5 hours while making tikka masala.

Paneer tikka is a healthy snack I always used to order in my starter whenever I go to a restaurant. Also it is a light food, available at every party and function. you can easily make this dish at home. In my house me and my mother make this dish every time. this is one of my favourite dish.
I love all the crispy veggies and soft paneer. Personally I don’t love capsicum. So I keep capsicum aside. I was 20 year old when I get to know how to make this dish. I enjoy a lot while making and having this dish.
Ingredients:
1 1/2 kg paneer
2 tomato
3 onion
1 capsicum
½ tbsp cumin seed
1 tbsp coriander seeds
1 big cardamom
8 green cardamom
½ black pepper
1 1/2 tbsp ginger, garlic paste
1 turmeric powder
2 tsp red chili powder
2-3 tsp coriander powder
salt(acc to taste)
3 tbsp oil
1 tbsp mango powder(amchur)
1 tbsp chat masala
3 green chili(chopped)
1 tbsp garam masala
1 lime
200 gm curd
Mint leaves(chopped)
Coriander leaves(chopped)
How to make paneer tikka in the oven
Peel and dice 2 large onions in square-shaped 1 to 1.5 inches pieces and rinse and slice 1 medium-sized capsicum(green bell pepper) into 1 to 1.5 inches pieces. You need 1 cup of each onion and capsicum.
Crush 1 inch of ginger and 7 to 8 medium-sized garlic in a fine paste. And you need 1 tbsp of crushed ginger-garlic or 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste.
Cut or slice 300 grams of paneer into cubes or squares. Keep aside, you can use homemade paneer.
Take 300 grams of curd in a bowl. Beat the curd with a whisk beat to make it smooth.
Now add 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste or 1 tbsp crushed ginger-garlic paste to the curd.
Now add spices powder, red chili powder, 1 tsp coriander powder, ½ tsp turmeric powder, ½ tsp garam masala, 1 tsp cumin powder, 1 tsp dry mango powder(amchur),
1 tsp carom seeds(ajwain), 1 tsp chat masala, ½ tsp black pepper powder.
Add ½ tsp black salt and white salt according to taste. Now add ½ tbsp lemon juice.
Now add 1 tbsp mustard oil. Also, you can use neutral-tasting oil.
Mix it very well. check the taste of the paste and adds more seasonings if required.
Add onion, capsicum, and paneer blocks to the paste. Slowly mix them with the paste. Cover it and keep the pasta and veggies in the fridge for 2 hours.
Now begin to thread the veggies and paneer on the bamboo. Before you begin to thread, heat the oven at 230 degrees celsius. Soak the bamboo before threading.
Place them on a tray with aluminum foil and brush with some oil.
After that place the tray on the rack, and grease it in the preheated oven for 8 to 10 minutes.
Now remorse the tray from the oven.
Again keep back on the rack in the oven and continue to grease, and wait for paneer and veggies to be golden brown.
Homemade paneer tikka is ready, sprinkle with some chat masala and lemon juice. And enjoy!
How to make paneer tikka on tawa
Take 3 cups of curd and whisk it till smooth.
Now add all the spices 4 tbsp besan, ½ tsp turmeric powder, ½ tsp black pepper powder, ½ tsp carom seeds (ajwain), ½ tsp Kasuri methi(dry leaves), 1 tsp coriander powder, 1 tsp cumin powder, 1 tsp garam masala powder, 1 tsp mango powder(amchur), red chili powder, ½ ginger-garlic paste, ½ tsp salt according to taste. Mix it well.
Now add the sliced vegetables 1 large onion, 1 medium capsicum, 1 large tomato if you want, now add 300 gram sliced paneer.
Mix it well with the help of your hand, now cover the bowl with a plate and keep it in the fridge for 2 hours.
Now heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan or Tawa, coat the paneer and veggies with the pasta, and place them on Tawa. Fry it on low-medium flame, now gently turn to the other side when one side gets brown.
Now remove it onto the plate. You can have this with a toothpick, sprinkle chat masala, and lemon juice while serving.
Homemade paneer tikka is ready, serve it with mint chutney.
Instruction
Slice the paneer into a small square and rectangle.
Take a large onion and cut them into ¼ slices.
Also, medium capsicum cut it in a square shape.
And a tomato cut it in the same way.
Keep veggies aside.
Now first make curd whisk, add all the species, mix it well and taste the paste. All the spices are ok or not if required add more spices.
Now add paneer and veggies to it and mix it smoothly with your hand.
Cover the bowl and put it in the fridge for 2 hours.
Now heat tawa and add 1 tbsp oil to it. Coat the paneer and veggies with the pasta and place them on tawa.
First, bake it from one side until it gets brown, now bake it from another side.
Now paneer tikka is ready! have it with mint chutney, sprinkle chat masala on it.
