London Travel Guide
London is one of the world’s most visited cities. Charming pubs, world-class (and frequently free) museums, plenty of history, some of the best theatres in the world. a diverse population, incredible food, and wild nightlife can all be found there.
I know it’s cliched to say there’s something for everyone, but there truly is in this huge town.
I’ve been visiting London since 2008, and the city has grown on me with each time. The more I go, the more amazing things I see, and the more I adore it. There’s always something new to do here, and the city has a lively air.
Unfortunately, it’s also a pricey vacation spot. If you’re not careful, a trip here can blow a hole in your wallet.
Fortunately, London offers a plethora of free and low-cost activities. While budget travelers will need to be thrifty in London, you may still have a great time on a shoestring budget.
This London travel guide will assist you in planning your trip, saving money, and maximizing your time in this international capital.

Other Things to See and Do in London
Pay a visit to Big Ben and the House of Commons.
Although it is not possible to climb the tower. This Gothic construction can be seen from the street. Take a tour of Parliament as well (arrive early or get tickets online). The tours are 28 GBP each. From the opposite side of the Thames, near the London Eye, the best view of the tower is possible.
Visit Tower Bridge and the Tower of London.
The tower was built in 1070. Has seen numerous expansions over the years. Until 1810, weapons, armour. And coinage was manufactured here, and today you can see the famous crown jewels. Traverse the battlements, explore restored medieval palace rooms. And see the legendary ravens who dwell in the tower. The cost of the tickets is 29.90 GBP.
Take a look at Buckingham Palace.
Although Buckingham Palace is only available to the public during the summer, you may join the masses and observe the changing of the guard every day at 11 a.m. The palace is not cheap to visit, with tickets costing 60 GBP. For 16.50 GBP, you can enter the garden.
Check out the Westminster Abbey
The Gothic Westminster Abbey is where British monarchs are. Traditionally coronated and buried. Charles Darwin, Sir Isaac Newton, Aphra Behn. And Charles Dickens are among the prominent British individuals buried here. Tickets are 18 GBP, but if you go during a service, you can visit for free.
Spend some time at Trafalgar Square.
Admire the fountains and iconic monuments such as the four bronze lion statues and Nelson’s Column (which commemorates Admiral Nelson’s victory at the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805) as you stroll about. There are a lot of people here, so it’s a fantastic area to people-watch.
Other Attractions and Activities in London
Take a free walking tour of the city.
There are numerous walking tours available in London. London has it all, from free tours to specialist tours to paid tours, literary tours to quirky tea excursions. When it comes to free tours, Free London Walking Tours and New Europe Walking Tours are two of my favorites. They’re the most cost-effective method to see the sites and learn about the city.
Check out Take Walks if you’re seeking more in-depth and specific excursions. They provide low-cost trips that cover a lot of ground.
Visit several museums.
There are more museums in London than you can explore in one visit, and many of them are free. Without spending a penny, you can spend days visiting world-class museums such as the Tate, the British Museum, the City Museum, the National Gallery, the Historical Museum, and many others. The Natural History Museum is one of my favorites, with over 80 million artifacts, including specimens gathered by Charles Darwin. It also boasts a large collection of fossils, making it both entertaining and educational. Another favorite of mine is the Victoria & Albert Museum. It houses nearly 2,000 works of art from all across the world, spanning over 3,000 years of human history.
Stop into Borough Market for a bite to eat.
Borough Market, which opened in 1756, has something for every foodie. Some of the best British and international food. And dishes may be found here. Come hungry, and you’ll leave satisfied. It’s also a wonderful place to people-watch. The market is open every day, but Saturdays are very crowded. So arrive early.
Take in some live theatre.
The famous theatre scene in London is well-known. While you’re here, go to a show and witness some of London’s world-famous acts. Tickets are reasonably priced, and there is something to see every night. Otherwise, see a Shakespeare performance at The Globe in South London, where tickets range from 7.50 to 50 GBP depending on the performance.
Take a stroll down Brick Lane.
This East London street is a local favorite for vintage clothing, cheap meals, and art. The ideal day to visit is Sunday when the outdoor street market is held. While the restaurants and stores that line the street are open every day. As the heart of the London travel guide Bangladeshi community, Brick Lane provides some of the greatest (and cheapest) food in the city, particularly when it comes to curry. This street is also a good spot to bring a camera because its walls serve as a gallery for some of London’s top street painters, such as Banksy, D*Face, and Ben Eine.
Go on a London Eye ride
The London Eye is a Ferris wheel that is 500 feet tall. Despite being a tad cheesy, it is one of London’s most popular attractions. It’s across the street from Parliament and, on a clear day, offers spectacular views of London and the city’s most prominent structures. It’s not cheap, costing 24.50 GBP online and 31 GBP in person, but if you want to be a tourist and enjoy the scenery, it might be worth it. The ride is 30 minutes long. You can book limo in london to enjoying the best luxury limo rides.
Take a trip to the London Dungeon Travel Guide
“The world’s most chillingly famous horror attraction,” claims the London Dungeon. It is a disturbing but interesting museum that chronicles 2,000 years of London’s horrific past. Despite the fact that you’ll learn about common torture methods in England, this attraction has evolved into more of an “amusement park” atmosphere. However, if you appreciate escape rooms and dangerous boat journeys, you will enjoy them. When you book tickets online, they cost 27 GBP (30 GBP in person).
